Glasgow South West Regeneration Agency recently celebrated the opening of their new office at Pollokshaws Burgh Halls with a Change for Life event. The event gave local residents and school children the opportunity to come along and meet with advisors and staff of the agency in a relaxed and informal setting.
Councillors, Alistair Watson, Stephen Curran and Colin Deans attended and performed the opening ceremony. Invited guests heard the powerful stories of two local residents that GSWRA supported. Children enjoyed face painting, games and story telling and the adults had an opportunity to learn about all the services GSWRA can offer local people.
Tommy Docherty, Depute Chief Executive, commented ‘Everything we do at GSWRA is about the people and the local communities we help. It is always a pleasure to get out of the office and meet the people that are realising the benefits of GSWRA support.’Tommy added, ‘Pollokshaws Burgh Hall is a superb venue for our service and I’m delighted that we are here at the heart of the community.’
